You Used To Hold My Hand & Now You Hold Mine.

I Am Truly Blessed To Be Your Mom. I Want To Share With Others What You Do For Me.

Broc, you are always there for me no matter if you are home or away at college. You may not realize it, but your daily love for me all while you strive for your dreams provides me extra strength each day. This is YOUR SPECIAL DAY! So for today, enjoy us celebrating you turning the big 19th and try not to worry about me. I LOVE YOU.......now read on

Living With Epilepsy As A Mom, What It Means Daily

Being a mom as many of you can relate is tough to begin with, but adding in epilepsy throws a whole new curveball. Daily I am afraid of the burden I am possibly for my family. The things I may miss out on daily due to, too many seizures or even worse the unthinkable happen and the nightly hug I do is no more. That is another reason I began this blog was to connect to others who may feel this way. I am blessed and have a very supportive understanding family.

A Sample Video Of Broc Taking Care Of Me In 2018

As a mom you never want your child to have to take care of you, well at least not until you are of older years:) This video is just a sample of his love for me, and a display of how his strength helps me by seeing a video like this. He is ONLY 14 doing this when we lived in Kentucky.

An Award Broc Received, The Courage Award 2022 Junior HS

We had only lived in Florida for a short time and Broc was already showing to other his love for me and his work ethic in academics and athletics. Someone took notice and nominated him for this Courage Award, which we knew nothing about until they contacted us for interviews.

He was asking why am I being rewarded something for what you live with. It's not me who is in pain. Broc, it is for all you do for me with that smile and daily strength you provide me to get up stronger each day no matter what amount of seizures happen.

He has always been very humble, cares for others first and so many had no idea until Brent and I posted it on SM. Watch for yourself on why he received it, and this also provides ME with DAILY COURAGE.

His Courage And Drive Inspires Me Day in And Day Out

Fast forward to his senior year HS, he helped his team reach State Championships as being a captain, catcher and most of all a role model by a 4.5 student for the entire team. He Graduated with a 4.5 at 17, and went onto play at Gulf Coast State College with a full ride and his Bright Futures on top of that.

He was so concerned of money, he was always asking about my Mayo appointments or meds costs when I just wanted him to be excited to be reaching his first dream of playing college baseball this past year. Not once would anyone even know what all he had to help with at home by all his accomplishments and drive in the classroom and on the diamond.

Now He Is Onto UTSA In Texas To Play D1 Baseball Fall 2023

Now once again, he didn't announce anything on Twitter for getting this opportunity. Instead this summer he has hit the gym to gain more strength/speed, doing catching, hitting, long toss, you get the picture. He doesn't know it, but every moment he went to lift or hit, anything would make me try harder that day to do anything I possibly could. He gave me the courage and inspiration by his actions.

But when he is home, he helps me cook, do laundry or at times just get to the couch if I am about to fall down. Run me to the store as I can't drive, if we need anything for home. Pretty much makes sure I am safe, and listening to my body when I do notice a seizure coming on. If I don't feel it, you can sure bet Broc sees it coming and gets me to safety. Because that's just the type of son I am blessed with. Hope you have enjoyed your 19th birthday, and I know you will be mad at me for bragging on you, but someone has to:) After all, I only get about 2 more weeks with you, and then I will brag about.........TBD

Now Let's Be Rowdy Ready And Show Them What You Got!

He says thank you for always supporting him and our family. He had a UTSA advisor zoom to kick his day off. He enjoyed just having an early dinner out. He got his lifts in and baseball training in & wrapped the night up with DQ cake. Love you all too! 💜💜💜💜
