Today in 2019 I had my 2nd brain surgery. So I celebrated!!

Celebrating the anniversary of this surgery!

This was how I looked coming out of surgery & it reminds me I am alive and extra prayers for those lost by SUDEP daily.

I know what you're probably thinking (besides, possibly grossed out by the pic above) that I am out kicking it up. Well those days are long gone, but I celebrated being able to EXERCISE with my Peloton classes. (HIIT, Core, Upper Body Strength, Stretching & then Meditation.) It has taken many years for me to be able to do that again on and off. There are some days, I am only lucky enough to walk a very slow pace, but that is a blessing to be alive. YES, I said exercise, something I used to do as part of my profession and thought nothing of it ever being taken away or having to adjust to be able to do any exercising. Today I was blessed to be able to do it, and it mentally also makes me feel better.

Also a blessing to sit with my youngest boy having dinner just chatting in-between his online finals here at home, and of course him lifting and baseball program.(like I said both my sons' dedicated actions to their goals, makes me appreciate life more)

Now I await my oldest boy to get home tomorrow with Brent from his finals finishing tonight at 9pm. Having us all together, as Brent puts it they are my "emotional human support animals".

Now I know Brent hates it when I talk about how much he does for me/family, but this pic shows it all. The smiles, wearing purple and the saying at bottom of frame, speaks for itself.

So just a thank you for always being by my side through every up and down, and reminding me with your smile just how lucky I am. (My other "human support animal, not just the boys":)

MyGlitch Shop update: For those that have asked: The vendor we work with cannot supply new gear until the new year. So you can purchase the current gear for now or wait until the New Year for what we have upcoming.

Mayo called with check-in & update:

Tonight one of the Mayo nurses called to let me know, again my nocturnal seizures were active and check to see how I was feeling. Surprisingly; my body was not feeling too bad.(Fibro was active) I had bad head pain and all over body aches but nothing like it was just a few days ago. So I took some Ibuprofen right away with breakfast to dull the head pain. Also she did some basic "sick/COVID" symptom check for my upcoming appointments, also she said they will be checking on this prior to my appointments due to the flu being so active.

My appointments on the 30th: This day will consist of a series of bloodwork, urine check, most likely COVID/FLU test. (this is due to me being placed under anesthesia on the 3rd, because I have had difficulty being placed fully under before). I will also go through an updated Cognitive testing by a Nuero Psychologist provide a new baseline. Then I will see a Neurologist along with a medical Doctor for a head to toe exam. This could be as short as 40 minutes or as long as having another day of tests, pending what they find. This is all to be prepared and safe for my invasive WADA Testing Surgery on January 3rd.
