Disclosure: As a reminder I don't go back and correct any mental errors while writing because that is true to how my brain works with living with epilepsy. In order to understand this by someone just joining, one example at times I might speak a seteances out ouf order, or repeat them, spelling.

How My Epilepsy Relates to Bryce's goals

I am sure you are thinking, how does Aerospace Engineering along with Artemis 2 launch relate at all. I used to think the same way, until I have watched him over the years in his undgrad at EmbryRiddle and now in grad school at University of KY. I may not understand some o what he talks about, but I do know we both learn and adapt to many things daily, but we help eachother to never give up.

Lessons from Epilepsy That Inspire Aerospace Dreams

  • Resilience: MyGlitch requires persistence, a trait essential for engineers facing complex problems.

  • Adaptability: I try adapt to my uncontrolled seizures, As an aerospace engineer he must adjust designs to changing conditions.

  • Focus on safety:MyGlitches require us to watch me for my safety along for others, it is very important of safety protocols in space missions.

The Artemis Launch as a Symbol of Hope and Progress

The Artemis mission represents the future of space explorations & overcome obstacles.

For our family, it symbolizes:

  • New beginnings: Just as Artemis 2 aims to open a new chapter in space exploration, Team Parmer advocates for future cures in epilepsy.

  • Teamwork: The mission’s success depends on collaboration of various space teams, mirroring how we work together for me daily with uncontrolled epilepsy

  • Dreams within reach: Artemis 2 shows that with effort and support, ambitious goals are achievable. Just as I might be uncontrolled, but that doesn't mean I cancel dreams. It might need to be adjusted.

Artemis 2 Launch will lead to Artemis 3 Launch, Continued Epilepsy studeies can lead to hope of MyGlitch Controlled

In 2023 Bryce was involved in a NASA contest with some classmates at ERAU. They called themselves the Dustronauts. They designed a space shovel to be used potentially on the future Atemis 3 launch when on the moon. They went through many trials to end up with what was selected to go to the NASA sight to have astronauts test it out in their underwaater labs to simulate it being in space.

Time will tell, if his shovel will be on that flight.(I believe it will be)

Just as Bryce and his classmates did trial and error to develop rheir space shovel, our family advocates for others to keep provinding innovations in epilepsy research. I hope one day, there can be a cure for out family and others.

Space & Epilepsy have MANY unknowns.

Excited to see Bryce be part of the Space journey.

While Team Parmer coniues to fight MyGlitches

for our family & others.
