I missed my promised post yesterday, but here is why: (body said no & I believe it or not listened or I should say my family made me listen to it)
Those of you that are in Daylight Savings, know it was time to set our clocks back. To some with Epilepsy, like myself #MyGlitch gets very disrupted with sleep pattern changes and pill change timing adjustments.
My body was wanting medication at a certain time, but it was supposed to be at the new given timeframe....throwing my internal clock for a loop. This is especially true now that I am having more #NocturnalSeizures which already throw off me getting enough "true sleep". Meaning REM sleep is needed for your memory and mood, and DEEP sleep helps with physical recovery and aspects of memory and learning. This stage should make you feel extra refreshed. I do not spend much time in either of these stages, and with this daylight savings, it was disrupted even more.
I am blessed by a very understanding family; and they made me take it easy/lay down/nap this weekend. Both Brent and Broc know otherwise; I am stubborn and try to do more than I should which my mind/body pays for it and so do they. Brent still made sure I went on a 2 mile walk (as it is walk/run 65 mile Challenge for Epilepsy in November), even if at a slower pace....we did it. Physical activity is great for the mind as it is for the body.
Brent even brought down my Christmas Decor, to start unboxing when I can this week. He knows Christmas is a holiday that always brings me good spirits with a smile to my face and heart. I just got the only warning of don't try to decorate the whole house in one day. LOL (I married a great one I know)
To my fellow #EpilepsyWarriors I hope you had a great weekend and are starting a great week #seizure free!
Brent also knows my 2 young men, are my pride and joy which makes me feel better as well. So we of coursed FaceTimed Big Bro last night(to make sure I got to see them both).....by the way Happy #NationalSTEMDay to our future #AerospaceEngineer who works hard daily at EmbryRiddle to reach his dreams of NASA one day.
Sometimes I need to sit back & remind myself I have had 2 RNS brain surgeries in 2017 & December 2019, plus still on 5 medications with my uncontrollable #MyGlitch and trust the process....it will get better and treasure the moments I have. I at least owe this to all of my family.(plus all those that support us)....I promise I am working on it.
I love you just as you are. I really hope you didn't decorate the whole house in one day!
