What is Friends & Family Fridays?

Every Friday I will be featuring various people that have either supported/touched my family and I in some fashion over these many years or they inspire me. I appreciate so many of you in various ways, but many times I don't know how to express it and I decided this would be a good way. The flip side will also be me reaching out you, and asking why have you continued to follow our journey and what does it mean to you. (so if I don't have phone numbers, be watching your SM in boxes) Don't worry, I will never post anything without persmisson first.

The man behind the creative design of Glitch

I wanted to start with Steve Gordon, as he is a close friend who helped us launch what I had invisioned in my mind and he took what I said and placed his talents to work. I also, wanted him to share in his own words how he came about the design of "Glitch".

In the words of RDQLUS(Steve) himself

"I love to create things that simply beg to be seen, well beyond the intent of their creation. This brand was created for an amazing person, on a mission to spread knowledge and information about living with epilepsy. But a brand is only as good as the the story told, and people buy into stories they can rock with.

I wanted the my Glitch logo to look like a purposeful mess. As if it had been shocked, blown apart, and had fallen back into place in a haphazard but more beautiful way. This is how I envisioned it after Marissa described her condition to me.

The lightning bolt for the “I” just made perfect sense, as the jolt that is an epileptic seizure. The exclamation point as the back leg of the “H” is the embodiment of the “Whoa!” that she and the family feel when the episode happens and also when it’s over."

I tell you Steve couldn't have imagined/designed anything better, because NOT ONE seizure is the same, and a lightning bolt fits that just perfect! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

Make sure to go follow him in IG at RDQLUS / Steve G designer

Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it!. Steve truly nailed it spot on with the design and name, so it stands out. So many epilepsy blogs have the same name to them.❤️💜
